ABOUT
The PEICDD 2025 International Conference
The International Conference Postmodern Education. Innovative Curriculum. Durable Development (PECIDD) addresses, in a comprehensive manner and in the spirit of innovative perspectives, the postmodern landmarks of contemporary society and education and the subsequent issues. The thematic coordinates, around which scientifically consistent studies, complex research and applied approaches will be developed, can lead to critical analyses and debates problematized on several levels:

axiological landmarks, epistemological foundations and methodological principles of postmodern education;

educational technologies, virtualization and digitalization in the knowledge society;
-
the innovative capacity of the postmodern curriculum;
-
the professionalization of the teaching career in accordance with European models and policies;
-
sustainability and sustainable development in education.
The innovative models and solutions to the conference issues will be analyzed and debated by experts and researchers in the field of social sciences and humanities, students, teachers, decision-makers in the education system, representatives of professional associations, cultural and scientific personalities, etc. This event aims to facilitate a valuable exchange of ideas and perspectives on how education can respond to the challenges of contemporary society, characterized by rapid and complex changes. Participants will explore concepts such as innovative curriculum, adapted to the needs of a digital generation and educational approaches that promote critical thinking, metacognition, personal and social development, creativity, educational communication and social responsibility.

Ion Albulescu
PhD. habil.
Professor at Babeș-Bolyai University,
the Director of the Educational
Sciences Department at the Faculty of
Psychology and Educational Sciences
and doctoral supervisor within the
"Education, Reflection, Development"
Doctoral School. His main research
directions in the field of
Educational Sciences are focused on: Educational
Alternatives, Comparative Pedagogy,
Pedagogical Doctrines, Didactics,
Initial Education and Continuing
Training of Teachers.
Cristian Stan
PhD. habil.
Professor Stan is licensed in Psychology
and in Philosophy, received his PhD
in Education Sciences from
Babeș-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca
(2000). He is member of the Doctoral
School "Education, Reflection,
Development" and the director of the
Doctoral School "Education, Reflection,
Development" (since 2017). The main areas of interest are: Didactic Evaluation,
Educational Theory, Didactic
Communication, Conflict and Crisis
Management and Reform and Change
in Education.


Horațiu Catalano
PhD. habil.
Professor in the Education Sciences Department, The Faculty of Psychology and The Science of Education from Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Pedagogy, a PhD in Educational Sciences, is a PhD supervisor in the Educational Sciences studies. He is also the coordinator of the programs for the continuous
professional development for teachers offered by the Department of the Science of Education. He has an extensive teaching experience in secondary and higher education.
Marin Manolescu
PhD. habil.
Marin Manolescu is an emeritus professor at the University of Bucharest, Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences and a doctoral supervisor in Educational Sciences. He is an active presence in the process of restructuring the system of initial and continuous training of teachers in pre-university education, especially those in primary and preschool education. His areas of interest are: Theory, Methodology and Practice of Evaluation, Theory and Methodology of Curriculum, Initial and continuous training of teachers, Early Childhood Education, Pedagogy of Primary and Preschool Education, Professional and Pedagogical Practice.
