The International Conference "Postmodern Education. Innovative Curriculum. Durable Development" (PEICDD), 14-15 November 2026 in Craiova, addresses, in a comprehensive manner and in the spirit of innovative perspectives, the postmodern landmarks of contemporary society and education and the subsequent issues. The thematic coordinates, around which scientifically consistent studies, complex research and applied approaches will be developed, can lead to critical analyses and debates problematized on several levels:

axiological landmarks, epistemological foundations and methodological principles of postmodern education;

educational technologies, virtualization and digitalization in the knowledge society;

the innovative capacity of the postmodern curriculum;
-
the professionalization of the teaching career in accordance with European models and policies;
-
sustainability and sustainable development in education.
The innovative models and solutions to the conference issues will be analyzed and debated by experts and researchers in the field of social sciences and humanities, students, teachers, decision-makers in the education system, representatives of professional associations, cultural and scientific personalities, etc. This event aims to facilitate a valuable exchange of ideas and perspectives on how education can respond to the challenges of contemporary society, characterized by rapid and complex changes. Participants will explore concepts such as innovative curriculum, adapted to the needs of a digital generation and educational approaches that promote critical thinking, metacognition, personal and social development, creativity, educational communication and social responsibility.

Cristian Stan
PhD. Professor
habil.
Professor Stan is licensed in Psychologyand in Philosophy, received his PhDin Education Sciences fromBabeș-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca(2000). He is member of the DoctoralSchool "Education, Reflection,Development" and the director of theDoctoral School "Education, Reflection,Development" (since 2017). The main areas of interest are: Didactic Evaluation,Educational Theory, DidacticCommunication, Conflict and CrisisManagement and Reform and Changein Education.
Horațiu Catalano
PhD. Professor
habil.
Professor in the Education Sciences Department, The Faculty of Psychology and The Science of Education from Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Pedagogy, a PhD in Educational Sciences, is a PhD supervisor in the Educational Sciences studies. He is also the coordinator of the programs for the continuousprofessional development for teachers offered by the Department of the Science of Education. He has an extensive teaching experience in secondary and higher education.
Alexandra Vraciu PhD. Associate Professor
Alexandra Vraciu (DEA in Discourse Analysis, Université Paris 12; PhD in English Language and Linguistics, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and Université Paris Ouest Nanterre) is a Serra Húnter Associate Professor at the Faculty of Education of the Universitat de Lleida (Spain). She teaches courses on English as a Foreign Language (EFL) didactics and Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) in the Bachelor’s Degrees in Early Childhood and Primary Education, as well as educational research methods in the Master’s in Secondary Education. She is the coordinator of the Bilingual degree in Primary Education at the Universitat de Lleida
Cătălin Cosmin Glava
PhD. Associate Professor
Cătălin Glava, is an Associate Professor Ph.D. in the Department of Educational Sciences, Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences at Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, Director of the Department for Teacher Training at the same university, member of the advisory team to the Minister of Education and Research, and permanent evaluator expert for Romanian Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education. Main areas of interest include: educational policies, the use of new technologies in education, educational marketing, initial and continuing teacher training.

Sofia Loredana Tudor
PhD. Associate Professor
Sofia Loredana Tudor is an Associate Professor doctor and Vice Dean at the Faculty of Educational Sciences, Social Sciences and Psychology, The National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest, Pitești University Centre.
In the 20 years of university teaching experience, some of these concerns have materialized in specialized articles and papers as sole author or co-author, focusing scientific research on topics of educational interest: early education, continuous professional development of teaching staff, training of students' skills, curricular and strategic approaches in teaching educational content, assessment of students' school acquisitions
